Chrysler has long held a tradition of creating inspiring and futuristic vehicles that stretch the boundaries of conventional design. From the automatic transmission in the 30s to the creation of the Hemi engine in the 40s and 50s and beyond. Chrysler has been at the forefront of technological advancement and this newest generation is no different. With the departure of the Chrysler 300, a new flagship car will be taking its place, is that new vehicle the Chrysler Halcyon?

Meant to showcase “Chrysler’s fully electrified future vision that embraces sustainable design and full autonomy paired with personalized driving experiences.”

The Halcyon concept is a wildly modern-styled, low-sitting sports sedan that appears to have come out of a 22nd-century utopia rather than a 2024 automakers plant, you wouldn’t believe it has 4 doors but when they open barn door style you’ll find that the roof panels also open up like a butterfly to show off the whole interior of the car.

Inside is a very minimalistic styling with etched seats for up front and rear seats that retract to create a flat load floor Chrysler calls a “future vision of stow ‘n Go seating. Something similar in the new Chrysler Pacifica.

While not much has been released for performance numbers for the all-electric concept car. The Halcyon uses an 800-volt lithium-sulfur battery that can charge up to 40 miles per minute and also can charge wirelessly while traveling on properly equipped roads that have Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer Capability.

As a concept car, we realize this Chrysler will likely never reach mass production, but as Chrysler continues to move towards its goal of being fully electrified by 2028, we have to wonder what the fleet may look like. And with the Pacifica now as the soul new product available today, we have to wonder what will join its ranks in the next few years.
